MISCELLANEY

Under penalty of death, we've

been ordered to announce that the Gay Parents Group (parents who are gay, that is, not parents of gays) will meet at 7:30 P.M. October 27 at United Community Church.

By the way, if you wondered why we switched back to typing and dropped typesetting, we assure you it's only temporary. The company that was doing our work decided to stop doing such vulgar material.... Typesetting is coming back soon.

Congratulations, by the way, to the Women's Motorcycle Club on raising in excess of $3,000 for MCC-Dallas at their show. We got a vivid description that made us wish we'd been there.

Benefits are the thing these days, and we're waiting for word on the MS benefit at High Country. We can't catch them all, and we can't publish results unless somebody takes the time to call and tell us about it. But, if you will call, we will print advance news and afterthe-fact information.

We're promising a horrible fate to the next "last minute" news that "just hast to be in" the issue we're already behind on putting in shape. Here's the latest: The Voices of Soul, a black gospel group we've heard and thoroughly enjoyed in the past, will shake the very foundations and raise the roof at United Community Church Sunday, October 25, at 7:30 P.M. This is definitely a rare and wonderful event you should catch. We endorse this as a "don't miss" sensation!

Go back to 1979 and pick up Lady Shawn, 1978 and 1977 and 1976 for Donna Day, the Ultra Hot Chocolate, and Naomi Sims. We ask you: Is that a show? We've already decided where we'll be that night!

The biggest Halloween celebration in the U.S., we've just been told, will be in Key West. If you want to get away from it all for seven days of parties, parades, snorkeling and sailing, Professional Travel can take you away from all this for $646 and up (per person, double occupancy, air fare from DFW included). The scene is the
